Giovani Lo Celso turned in a tidy performance as Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 with Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday.
On the chalkboard
The Argentine, signed on loan from Real Betis in the summer, has struggled for minutes in the league this term and has played just twice under Jose Mourinho in the top-flight.
He played 34 minutes against Brighton & Hove Albion on Boxing Day and lasted 74 against Norwich at Carrow Road.
The 23-year-old featured alongside Tanguy Ndombele and Christian Eriksen in the Spurs midfield and was solid if unspectacular.
Per WhoScored, he had 43 touches of the ball, significantly fewer than both the Frenchman and the Dane.
He registered one key pass and a passing accuracy of 84%, along with one dribble.
Lo Celso also won two tackles, while he was dribbled past once and was also dispossessed once.
Insignificant
Lo Celso did not stand out and that, really, is an issue.
Spurs need all the creativity they can get in midfield, particularly if Christian Eriksen is to depart, either in January or in the summer. Football FanCast understands that Juventus are interested.
Lo Celso could be that man but on Saturday, he was not as dynamic as Ndombele, who completed six dribbles, or as creative as Eriksen, who laid on two key passes and had 120 touches of the ball.

If he is to stay in Jose Mourinho’s team, he needs to start making things happen, something he absolutely didn’t do against the Canaries.
He must start making more of an impact in north London.
Meanwhile, Spurs fans have slammed one man after his performance against Norwich.
