Chelsea draw 2-2 with 10-man BurnleyEx-Blues star Lebeouf slams club's owners Says players have 'nothing in their heart'WHAT HAPPENED?
The Blues twice threw away a one-goal lead as they were held to a draw with relegation-threatened Burnley, who were reduced to 10 players after Lorenz Assignon's 40th-minute dismissal. After Saturday's contest, ex-Chelsea man Leboeuf tore into the club's owners, accusing them of doing huge amounts of damage and slammed the players for their lack of fight and intelligence, too.

The Frenchman told ESPN: "Sorry, but the people on the board have destroyed this club. That's what you have to face. How do you rebuild that? I don't know, it's going to take a long time. I've talked about it a lot and I'm fed up repeating myself… as long as you don't have people to rely on, meaning experienced players, you can't build anything. This is what you face when you're trying to build an Academy team."
He added: "The Chelsea players have no stamina, nothing in their heart, nothing in their brain, they don't know what to do. It's unprofessional and unfair to the people who love this club. I'm fed up. 10-men Burnley should have won the game. Chelsea Football Club against Burnley… that's the end of it. I want to congratulate the fans for still being able to go to Stamford Bridge to watch that."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Ever since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took over the club in 2022, Chelsea have spent more than a billion in the transfer market but they are still struggling in mid table and the threat of breaching profit and sustainability rules is a very real possibility. The future looks rather bleak for the west London outfit.
WHAT NEXT?
Chelsea, who are 11th in the Premier League and sit 19 points behind Champions League-chasing Aston Villa in fourth, next face Manchester United on Thursday, followed by a trip to lowly Sheffield United three days later.
