According to Sporx, Turkish giants Besiktas are open to tabling a £2.6m offer for Aston Villa forward Jonathan Kodjia as the January transfer window looms.
To suggest that the 30-year-old has found it difficult to break into Dean Smith’s starting XI during the 2019/20 campaign would be a slight understatement.
The striker has only played 20 minutes of Premier League football, whilst he was again unused against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

And there are a selection of Villa fans who would be more than happy to accept the relatively low offer for the centre-forward.
That is not an opinion shared by everyone, though, with some of the supporters believing that the bid is far too low.
There was also a fan who claimed that his club should actually keep hold of Kodjia because the offer is so low that it would hardly be worth it.

In the modern day, £2.6m for a player operating in the Premier League is very, very low. However, it is difficult to imagine that Kodjia will be used on too many occasions moving forward, particularly considering Villa’s recent improvement, which was further illustrated by Sunday’s point at Old Trafford.
What’s more, the forward will be out of contract next summer.
Meanwhile, a number of Villa fans recently showed their delight when reacting to a piece of huge news from the club regarding a key figure.
