Of course, the current Liverpool team is on top of the world and quite literally so having last claimed the Club World Cup trophy under their belts with a narrow 1-0 victory over Flamengo in the grand final.

But even though Jurgen Klopp seems like the perfect gaffer for the Reds – seeing how he’s guided them to European glory as well – Riise believes there is one other coach that is destined to take over the mantle in the near future and feels is the “right manager” for them – Steven Gerrard.
Riise seems to believe that the 39-year-old will get the job when the time is right and has even lauded the work the former Reds icon has done managing Rangers.
And who knows, maybe he truly is destined to sit at Liverpool’s helm one day in the not so distant future and if his managerial career ends up being even half of what his stint as a player was, the Reds are in for another brilliant ride.
But only time will tell…
